Glenn South - Owner Raised in Columbus, Ohio till the age of seventeen, then enlisted in the US Army and served 3 years active duty including overseas service in Vietnam, assigned to the 75th Rangers Special Operations Group, attached the 101st Airmobile Division stationed in Phu Bai. After being wounded in action, was transferred to the 82nd Airborne Division stationed in Ft.Bragg, NC. Discharged from active duty in 1972. Relocated to northern California in mid seventies and established a career in sales. First in audio video and then later into Yamaha motorcycles sales division. A love for motorcycles eventually sparked an interest in what was then known as caf racing, starting out in amateur divisions at Sonoma counties Sears Point racecourse. Several years later and several amateur championships was promoted to Yamahas elite road racing group preparing to go to Europe to challenge the Europeans in the world Grand Prix championship series. After participating for several years in both America and abroad, injuries sustained over the years forced retirement in early 1984. Having relocated to the Nashville Tennessee area, pursued a management position with a local retailer and was promoted to Sales and Finance manager. Later on moving into the boating industry and becoming a member of BASS and its affiliates while participating in numerous tournaments and eventually in 1988 winning the Tennessee BASS Rookie of the Year award. The early nineties saw a dramatic change in a career path towards computers and establishing one of the largest gaming Bulletin Board systems in the midsouth. Eventually this led to a career now well established in the Nashville community. Soon afterwards local recruiting agencies such as Aerotek Inc, Robert Half Intl, and Manpower were acquiring services when available on a contractual basis and worked with a number of large organizations including the Tennessee Valley Authority, PMT Services ( the largest credit card transaction service ) and Vanstar Inc, and Moll Plastic Intl., specializing in LAN/WAN environments. After two years of contractual work with these organizations, a well deserved rest was unsued and research into other job markets were pursued with the knowledge acquired through various contracts. Eventually research pointed to he Canadian border with a decision to pursue the Halifax, Nova Scotia area and the opportunities available in Information Systems. With 850 hours on IBM AS400 administration and two years of Novell networking both in administration and client workstations pursuit of this area seemed logical and realistic. At this time Stargazer Solutions was created to fit the small business needs of the Halifax Community. After months of work and dedication the network was alive and growing. Everyday was a learning experience as new marketing ideas and massive webpage design changes were created almost everyday to make Stargazer an influence in the Nova Scotia Eastern Atlantic marketplace. We found several very important keys to webpage designing and decided to stretch our wings a little further. Relocating once more to Panama City in November 1999, a sister site " Panama City Weblinks " was established with the same concept in mind. Stargazer is still the mainstay and flagship. And still managed locally from this location with an associate carrying on the duties up North, while we continue our research on the southern shores. We hope youll enjoy our concept and join our links. They are fun and exciting and present a great opportunity and exposure for your personal or business websites. Thanks and have fun on the links Glenn South |
